Website connections, email, and certificates

Understand how domain, DNS, email, and HTTPS changes interact with a managed WordPress site.

Connected systems

A WordPress site may depend on domain registration, DNS, email routing, and TLS certificates. A change to one can affect others. Confirm the intended hostname and record before updating DNS, and avoid removing records whose purpose is unknown.

HTTPS and email

Verify the site over its expected HTTPS address after an authorized domain change. Email delivery depends on its own DNS records; do not replace mail-related values while changing website records. If certificate or mail controls are not visible in the portal, ask support to identify the supported workflow.

Troubleshooting

Provide the hostname, symptom, and time of the change. Do not send registrar passwords, certificate private keys, or mail account credentials in a ticket.
